Dr. Orengo-Aguayo is a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed clinical psychologist whose clinical expertise includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Orengo-Aguayo also specializes in the treatment of PTSD in children and adults, as well as provides evidence-based couples therapy.
Dr. Rosaura Orengo-Aguayo is an Assistant Professor and bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed Clinical Psychologist at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVC) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, MUSC. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, and her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Iowa. Dr. Orengo-Aguayo completed her clinical internship and an NIMH T-32 Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina with a specialty in child and adult trauma research and intervention.
