Dr. Wang is a board certified adult psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, specifically focused on stress related conditions, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depressive disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He has a specific interest in treating those who struggle with comorbid conditions, including problems related to both ADHD and PTSD. Being Principle Investigator, Dr. Wang has extensive experience in clinical and genetic research in the area of stress related disorders. He has conducted several clinical trials in the treatment of PTSD, depression, and ADHD.
As both researcher and clinician, Dr. Wang provides extensive, high quality evaluation and evidence-based, cutting-edge psychiatric treatment for adults with ADHD, PTSD, and mood/anxiety disorders. He uses an individualized approach to address each individual’s responses to medications to find a unique medication combination for that specific individual.
Dr. Wang completed his general psychiatric training at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. He is currently the Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Medical University of South Carolina. He also serves as an attending Psychiatrist at the Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina.
