Nancy Warren, PhD

Dr. Warren is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in couples and family therapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Dr. Warren has special expertise working in-depth with individuals who have recurrent patterns in their lives they wish to understand and change. She also specializes in working with families and couples dealing with life transitions, parenting stress, and couple’s communication problems.

Dr. Warren is also a certified Family to Family education trainer, and collaborates with local National Alliance on Mental Illness groups in advocacy and training work. She has worked with the Medical University of South Carolina’s Project Rex, providing parent groups for families who have a child with Autism.

She received her PhD in 1978, and has been on the faculty in three Medical Schools; UNC-Chapel Hill, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and most recently at the Medical University of South Carolina. She was in private practice for 15 years in Houston prior to moving to Charleston in 2011. She received her psychoanalytic training at the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies – Houston, graduating in 2006. She is a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association.

Melissa Milanak, PhD

Dr. Milanak specializes in providing evidence-based treatments for sleep disorders including insomnia and anxiety disorders including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and specific phobias.

Alyssa Rheingold, PhD

Dr. Rheingold is a licensed clinical psychologist whose clinical expertise includes evidence-based treatments for anxiety related difficulties such as social anxiety, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and specific phobias.

Casey Calhoun, PhD

Dr. Calhoun is a licensed clinical psychologist who primarily works with children and adolescents experiencing problems with anxiety/stress, mood, PTSD, behavioral conduct, relationship dynamics, and adjusting to various life events.

Josh Smith, PhD

Dr. Smith is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs (CDAP) in MUSC's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. His work involves development and delivery of evidence-based treatments for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
