Alexis Garcia, PhD

Dr. Garcia is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents. Dr. Garcia uses individual and family-based approaches to decrease behavior problems while increasing family cohesion and child success. Dr. Garcia is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Therapist. She also provides support to adults experiencing significant parenting stress.

Dr. Garcia completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, with an emphasis on child and adolescent psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship (Child Track) and fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics.
