David R. Schultz, DO
Psychiatrist
Dr. David Schultz is a psychiatrist that specializes in medication-based treatment for adults with anxiety, mood disorders, and PTSD. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in MUSC’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Staff Psychiatrist at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC.  He completed his undergraduate study at James Madison University with a B.S. in Psychology. Prior to medical school, he worked with a non-profit organization serving the homeless population in Knoxville, TN. Dr. Schultz completed his medical education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He went on to the Medical University of South Carolina for his residency training in psychiatry and served as Chief Resident in his final year. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Schultz has received awards for his innovations with technology to improve patient care and outpatient operations.
